About the Team
The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran R’s nervous system, designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team leverages close partnership between avionics design, manufacturing, and test to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers are deeply embedded into other functions within Relativity, working closely with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. Now is a unique time to join: you’ll get to help shape Terran R's fundamental avionics architecture and be given a high degree of ownership on components that will fly.
The Battery Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, maintaining, and repairing battery systems used in energy storage, electric vehicles, industrial equipment, and backup power applications. This role ensures batteries operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with performance standards.
About the Role
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot battery systems using meters, analyzers, and diagnostics software
- Verifying charge/discharge performance
- Assemble battery packs, modules, and wiring harnesses following technical drawings and safety protocols
- Conduct capacity test, load test, and quality checks to verify system performance
- Document test results, maintenance actions, and system performance data
- Replace defective cells, wiring, or components and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials
About You
- Knowledge of electrical systems, DC power, and basic electronics
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience with multimeters, load testers, and diagnostic tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Mechanical aptitude and hands on troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge in Li-ion cells and wire bond processes
