No. Signing up is completely free and no credit card is required. For homeowners, posting a gig and hiring is always free. For service providers, creating a profile and applying to gigs and jobs costs nothing. There are no hidden fees and no surprises.

Most people are done in under 5 minutes. If you have a website, just paste the link and our AI will build your profile for you automatically. Otherwise you can answer a few quick questions and you're good to go. You can always add more detail later as you start getting jobs.

Homeowners in your area are actively posting jobs right now. Contractors who complete their profile with photos of their work and respond to messages quickly tend to land their first job within the first week. The more complete your profile, the better your chances of being seen. It costs nothing to try and you have nothing to lose.

No. You don't need to be licensed or insured to create an account and start applying. If you are licensed or insured, you can add those credentials to your profile and get a verified badge which helps you stand out to homeowners. Many contractors on Qiggz are independent tradespeople who are fully qualified but not formally licensed.

Yes. Qiggz is available on both iOS and Android. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play. The app lets you manage your profile, browse gigs and jobs, message homeowners and companies, and get notified the moment something relevant comes in. Most of our users work directly from the app.

If you signed up with Google or Apple, try logging in with that option instead of entering your email and password manually. If you're still stuck, tap Forgot Password on the login screen or reach out to us at support@qiggz.com and we'll get you back in quickly.

Qiggz is a marketplace where homeowners find local contractors for projects and where contractors find work without paying for leads. Homeowners post what they need, service providers apply, and both sides connect directly — no middlemen.

For contractors, the main difference from other platforms is that applying costs nothing. No lead fees. No commission on what you earn.

Homeowners describe what they need and post it as a gig. Service providers browse open gigs nearby and apply to the ones that fit. From there, both sides can message each other, agree on price and timing, and schedule the work — all inside the app.

The key thing: contractors don't pay anything to apply or contact customers.

A gig is a project. Someone needs their deck repaired, their yard cleaned up, or a bathroom retiled. You show up, do the work, get paid — done. Gigs can last a few hours or a few weeks.

A job is an employment opportunity. A company or recruiter is looking to fill a role — a full-time electrician position, seasonal landscaping work, a construction contract. Something ongoing rather than a one-time task.

One Qiggz profile works for both. No separate accounts required. You can apply to gigs and jobs at the same time.

You'll still need to create a service provider account. When you're asked "What brings you to Qiggz?" during setup, select Apply to jobs only. Your profile will be hidden from gig posters and only visible to companies and recruiters posting jobs that match your skills.

On Thumbtack, contractors pay for every lead — usually $25 to $150 per quote, whether they win the job or not. On Angi, there are subscription plans and lead packages that most contractors find expensive and frustrating.

On Qiggz, applying is free. Contractors don't pay anything to respond to a job or contact a homeowner. That's why a lot of them switch over.

Currently handled directly between the homeowner and service provider — cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, whatever you both agree on. Qiggz doesn't process payments right now, though that's coming. Sort out the payment details before work starts.

English and Spanish. Profiles, gig descriptions, and messages work in both.

A homeowner account lets you post gigs and hire people. A service provider account includes everything a homeowner account does, plus the ability to build a public profile, browse open gigs and jobs, and apply to work. Think of it as a homeowner account with extra features unlocked.

Yes. You can delete your account from Settings > Account. Keep in mind that once deleted, your profile, reviews, and work history are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. If you just need a break, consider setting your profile to inactive instead.

You don't need two accounts. A service provider account already includes everything a homeowner account does, so you can post gigs and apply to work all from the same account. If you already have a homeowner account and want to upgrade to a service provider account, you can do that from your profile settings.

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email address. You'll receive a reset link shortly. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. If you're still having trouble, reach out to us at support@qiggz.com and we'll sort it out.

Yes — but only once. You can update your username from Settings → Account. Choose carefully, because once it's changed you won't be able to change it again.
