Fitter II

DIS-TRAN Steel is looking for an experienced Fitter II to join the team in Pineville. The Fitter II must be capable of all of the requirements of the Fitter I, including the following: must be capable of fitting steel layouts according to specifications. This individual must be able to perform duties with speed and accuracy in order to produce a quality product and keep a steady flow of products. This position will frequently use calculating skills, by tape measure or other device. This position will use other moving machinery or equipment, including cranes, in order to manipulate steel structures. The Fitter II displays an ability to work from a variety of shop drawings. Production is critical with minimum supervision and little rework required. This person also has the ability to train individuals in the Fitter I position. Individual is a strong producer and has a strong work ethic. Able to interpret drawings and able to fit all structures being detailed. Has an excellent Safety record.
