Key Responsibilities
- Installation of Solar Panels: Execute the assembly and mounting of solar panels on various structures, ensuring optimal placement for maximum energy capture and efficiency.
- Electrical Wiring and Connection: Connect solar panels to electrical systems, including inverters, batteries, and grid interconnection points. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.
- System Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing of solar energy systems to verify proper functionality and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during installation or commissioning.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks on solar panels and associated equipment, such as cleaning, inspection, and system optimization. Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions to restore system efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical experience
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, circuitry, and systems installation, with a strong understanding of AC and DC electrical principles.
- Familiarity with solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, including panel types, mounting methods, and system components.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Work Environment
- This position primarily involves working in the field at work sites
- Must be able to work in varied weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 50 lbs.

Driving
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements to travel to and from work sites.
