REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of experience working with composite materials including lamination, trimming, bonding, and handling
- Experience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other composite materials, in prepreg and wet layup forms
- Ability to work in a R&D atmosphere with direct instruction from leads and engineering.
- Ability to read drawings and build at a fast and aggressive pace.
- Have a background in oven, ply cutter, and heated platen press operation,
- Understanding of importance of composite material storage processes
- Understanding of common industry best practices including: tool preparation and care, contamination prevention, surface preparation for bonding, proper trim and drill, safety.
- Experience in vacuum bagging process and how to troubleshoot when issues arise.
- Application of thermocouples to support cure processes
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Able to stand for extended periods of time, ability to lift 50 lbs
- A high degree of ownership whilst maintaining high quality of work
- Be eligible to obtain and hold a security clearance.
- Experience with trapped tooling methods
- Ability to read and understand GD&T ASME Y14.5
- Ability to program oven/autoclave temperature and pressure profiles
- Ability to drive forklift
- Experience with laser ply projection equipment, setup, and software.
