Responsibilities
- Review and interpret shop drawings and machining specifications.
- Develop CNC programs and perform machine setup for CNC lathes and mills.
- Operate CNC equipment and make adjustments as needed during production.
- Work to extremely tight tolerances, including measurements as close as 0.0005 inch.
- Program using G-code with controls such as Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain. Experience with every control is not required.
- Inspect completed parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
- Maintain consistent part quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Follow safe work practices in a heavy industrial setting.
- Maintain dependable attendance and a professional work ethic.
- Work the required schedule, including Saturday hours when scheduled.
- Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Ability to read and understand technical and machining drawings.
- Strong knowledge of precision machining and dimensional inspection.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work the required schedule.
