Skills & Knowledge

Must have prior experience working on presses.
Operate forklifts when required and repair and upgrade a wide range of material handling equipment, including forklifts and aerial lifts.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.
Perform duties and responsibilities using hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment as needed or instructed.
Must have organizational, computer, and leadership skills, as this position will head up key special projects.
Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs; use hands to grasp, finger, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk; hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required to lift heavy objects to 75 pounds with the assistance of a dolly and another employee.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Specific skills include basic computer skills, good coaching and feedback skills, and excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).

Education/Experience

High school diploma required, 2 years of college preferred
6+ years of maintenance experience
Proficient in electrical and mechanical skills, including but not limited to pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication for troubleshooting and repair of production machines and vehicles, as well as maintenance of equipment for use in the facility and the facility itself.
Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic press equipment is required.
Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Must be willing to submit to a background check, employment verification, and drug screen.
