Industry Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship, or General Journeyman Electrical / Master Electrical License, or MSHA Coal Qualified Person, or 2 years’ experience working under the supervision of a Qualified Electrical Worker within a mining, industrial or commercial industry.
All Qualified Electrical Workers are required to comply with the Electrical Safety Principal Control Plan and the referenced standard operating procedures.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
Must be Fit for Duty: Able to lift and carry 50lbs overhead, climb ladders, work at heights, etc.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions: wind, rain, sun.
Work is in a surface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
