- Proficiency in English: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.
- Post‑secondary education or technical trade certification.
- EPA 608 Type II or Type III Refrigerant Handling Certification.
- Boiler Operator certification.
- Industrial Refrigeration (Ammonia) certification.
- Experience with precision maintenance tools and techniques (lubrication, alignments, vibration, ultrasound, etc.).
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and reaching.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, dirt, sparks, oil, smoke, and varying indoor/outdoor environments.
- Use of PPE such as hearing protection, hair/beard nets, safety shoes, gloves, hard hat, and safety eyewear.
- Regular use of machinery, tools, and equipment including forklifts (gas and electric), telehandlers, scissor lifts, articulating man‑lifts, power tools, test instruments, welding and cutting tools, and computers.
- Work performed in both manufacturing and outdoor plant environments.
- Must follow all PPE, sanitation, hygiene, and GMP requirements.
- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
- Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.

The Utilities Technician provides primary support for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of utilities equipment, including chillers, cooling systems, cooling towers, boilers, steam systems, RO/soft water equipment, HVAC, electrical substations, and low- and high-pressure compressed air systems. This role supports an aseptic manufacturing environment and ensures utilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
