Position Summary
Mid-Ohio Air Conditioning installers perform equipment replacement, duct installation and/or replacement, piping installation and/or replacement, tenant improvements to HVAC systems, and equipment start-up in existing buildings for our commercial, industrial, and institutional customers in Central, Northeast, and Southeast Ohio. Their typical workday in a team of two or more is 8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a half-hour lunch break. Overtime opportunities are usually available. Lead HVAC Installers have strong communication and problem-solving skills, read and interpret blueprints, and work diligently to execute projects to successful outcomes for customers.

MOAC installers are offered a minimum of two weeks of formal training through multiple methods including manufacturer factory training, continuing education through local vendors and in-house training, online training, and on-the-job training. Tuition reimbursement is available for industry-related courses taken outside normal business hours.

Salary ranges listed are dependent upon a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the specific role and location.
- Lead installation crews on equipment replacement, ductwork, and piping projects in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
- Perform equipment start-up and commissioning activities
- Coordinate daily work activities and communicate progress to project management
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system installations in the field
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used via company field service applications
- Adhere to all OSHA, MOAC, and site safety policies; apply PPE and LOTO procedures at all times
- $35.00 – $44.00/hour, commensurate with experience · 401(k) with 100% employer match up to 6%

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational degree or apprenticeship completion preferred
- Demonstrated experience in commercial HVAC installation, ductwork, and piping
- Experience leading field installation crews preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- EPA Section 608 certification a plus
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record required
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
- Ability to work in diverse field conditions (rooftops, equipment rooms, confined spaces, all weather)
- Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
