Electrical Service Technician

The role is multi-skilled requiring a high degree of competency in mechanical skills with basic electrical skills. The role involves diverse mechanical and electrical work on rail cars and other vehicles including body work repairs, welding repairs, fabrication and basic electrical installation tasks. The role has responsibilities for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) inspections as assigned and the maintenance of documentation for the vehicles and the work site. The ability to drive a road vehicle and fork lift truck is desirable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Electrician: Installation of high and low voltage also WIFI and communications conduit and cabling. The installation of communication systems on buses and passenger rail cars • Electrician: Basic electrical wiring installation, testing and troubleshooting of passenger rail cars and locomotives • Documentation: Maintains vehicle history books and other production documentation
