The Opportunity: Lead from the Front
Southwind, the premier franchise partner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, is expanding. We aren't looking for a manager who wants to sit behind a desk all day. In our East Syracuse market, we need a hands-on leader—someone who thrives on variety and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
As the General Manager, you are the heartbeat of the operation. You’ll spend roughly 3 days a week in the field, working alongside your team, hauling junk, and engaging with customers, while spending the rest of your time driving the strategic growth of the business.
Field Leadership (The "Player" Role)
- Lead by Example Spend at least 3 days per week on the trucks, performing junk removal services alongside your frontline team to ensure "World Class" service.
- On-the-Job Training Use your time in the field to coach teammates on sales, safety, and efficiency in real-time.
- Customer Experience Be the face of the brand in the community, ensuring every job exceeds expectations.
Operational Excellence (The "Coach" Role)
- Business Growth Develop and execute local marketing and sales strategies to dominate the market.
- P&L Management Oversee the "business of the business"—managing labor costs, fleet maintenance, and profitability.
- Team Building Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing crew. You aren't just managing employees; you’re building a culture of accountability and grit.
- Logistics & Safety Oversee daily scheduling and fleet management while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
