Maintenance Technician

Location: South Padre Island, Texas (78597)Pay Range: $14.00/hourEmployment Status: Full-Time

Position Overview

Rise Association Management Group is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of a residential property in South Padre Island, TX.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained community environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, responsive, and willing to assist with a variety of maintenance and property support tasks as needed.

Property Maintenance & Repairs

Perform general interior and exterior maintenance tasks
Complete basic repairs including painting, drywall patching, and minor carpentry work
Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance issues as needed
Conduct daily property walks to identify maintenance or safety concerns
Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas and exterior spaces
Assist with trash management, porter duties, and debris removal
Support preventive maintenance projects and routine property upkeep
Power wash exterior areas and assist with seasonal maintenance tasks

Property Operations Support

Communicate maintenance concerns and project updates to management
Coordinate with vendors and onsite staff as needed
Ensure all work is completed safely and according to property standards
Respond professionally to resident and management requests

Experience

Previous maintenance, facilities, porter, or property upkeep experience preferred
Experience in condominium, hotel, apartment, or multifamily properties is a plus

Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry preferred
Ability to troubleshoot and complete tasks independently
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance required
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities throughout the day
Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset
