Maintenance Technician- Full Time
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventivemaintenance of a hotel's physical property, including plumbing, HVAC, electricalsystems, and general building structure. Key duties involve inspecting equipment,responding to guest work orders, diagnosing and resolving issues, and ensuring guestsafety and satisfaction. This role requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills,physical stamina, and often, a high school diploma with additional vocational training.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepairs and Maintenance: Perform routine, corrective, and emergency repairs on thehotel's physical plant, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.Equipment Management: Inspect, test, and maintain various machinery and equipment,such as kitchen equipment and lighting.Building Structure: Assist with repairs to floors, roofs, doors, and other parts of thehotel's interior and exterior.Guest Service: Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests with a focus on safetyand guest satisfaction.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to preventissues and minimize downtime.Documentation: Keep records of all maintenance activities and work orders.
Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills: Proficient in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, along withgeneral carpentry and painting skills.Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose problems, identify solutions, and implement themefficiently.Physical Stamina: The ability to stand, move, lift, and carry heavy objects, and work invarious physical positions (bending, crawling).Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with guests, management,and contractors.
Organizational Skills Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond to work orders, andmaintain organized records.
Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience At least 1 years of related experience in a hotel or a related field.
