CORE RESPONSIBILITIES – Material Flow
- Deliver coils, sheets, and blanks to correct press - Remove finished goods & scrap bins - Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) - Prevent line stoppages
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES – Coil Handling
- Move coils safely (use proper attachments) - Verify: Coil ID, Heat number, Thickness / Grade - Check for damage (dents, rust, broken bands)
MATERIAL ACCURACY
- RIGHT material → RIGHT press - NO mix-ups (grade, thickness, finish) - Double-check labels before staging
INVENTORY CONTROL
- Scan or track materials - Keep staging & storage areas organized - Report shortages or mismatches immediately
SAFETY FIRST – ZERO EXCEPTIONS
- Perform daily forklift inspection - Drive controlled in high-traffic areas - Keep loads low, stable, and secure - Sound horn at intersections - Coils are extremely heavy – use proper attachments - Wear PPE: steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves
QUALITY EXPECTATIONS
- No damaged material during transport - No mixed materials at press - Report defects immediately
SUCCESS METRICS
- Zero safety incidents - No press downtime due to material - Accurate material delivery - Clean & organized area (5S)

- Keep aisles clear - Store coils in designated areas - Maintain clean workspace
