KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain, install, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, transformers, switchgear, motors, and other electrical components.
Bend and install various conduits, including EMT, rigid, and PVC.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and recommend solutions.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Install electrical systems per industry code and regulations.
Conduct regular electrical system inspections to ensure they follow safety regulations and standards.
Ensure timely completion of construction projects by coordinating with other trades and contractors on site.
Train and mentor apprentices and other electricians.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed.
Promote company culture to create a positive work environment while adhering to company values.
Promote a “safety first” workspace

POSITION SUMMARY

The Journeyman Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in various commercial settings. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently or as part of a team, have strong problem-solving skills, and be committed to safety and quality.

Education

Completion of a certified apprenticeship program or a minimum of four years of prior experience in commercial electrical installation.

Knowledge/Skills

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of OSHA standards, construction safety practices, and regulatory compliance requirements preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel occasionally to jobsites.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform occasional walking, climbing stairs, or navigating active construction sites while wearing required PPE.
