SOSi is seeking a Vietnamese Instructor in Northern Virginia. In this role you will provide language instruction in a professional environment with responsibility for lesson planning, delivery, and assessment of learning. Strong inter-personal and communications skills are a must to supportively engage with adult students.
Essential Job Duties
- Deliver instruction to students ranging on a starting level from 0 to 3 to raise their proficiency level on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR).
- Execute the full cycle of lesson development/planning, instruction, and student assessment.
- Develop lesson plans for appropriate for beginners, intermediate, and advanced classes.
- Facilitate classes focused on real-world scenarios (including practical knowledge of applicable culture, history, politics, and economy) to develop student's skills in speaking, listening, and reading for both social and professional situations.
- Provide students with constructive feedback. Consult and collaborate with customers on organization needs to further student success.
- Assess students’ learning and proficiency levels base in the ILR scale.
- Complete customer specific training and instructor certifications.
