What You'll Be Doing at Woodard & Curran

Are you looking to build a rewarding career in industrial wastewater operations? At Woodard & Curran, we're seeking a wastewater operator who is eager to learn, grow, and make an impact as part of a collaborative team.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced operators and maintenance professionals, gaining hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment facilities. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, working five 8-hour shifts, Sunday through Thursday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Because our facilities operate around the clock, flexibility to assist with weekend coverage, emergency response, and occasional off-hour needs is essential.

Additional Information

As part of our hiring process, finalists will be required to successfully complete a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.

Compensation $26.00 - $30.00/hr. based on level of experience and licensure.

High school diploma or trade school certification required.
2 to 4 years of experience operating or maintaining water and/or wastewater treatment facilities preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
Hands-on troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment and system issues.
New Jersey Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License (N) preferred, or the ability to obtain one through examination or reciprocity.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current 8-hour refresher, if applicable.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Working knowledge of wastewater treatment operations, maintenance practices, equipment, and tools.
Commitment to safe work practices and an understanding of hazards associated with industrial wastewater treatment operations.
Ability to respond to emergency call-outs when needed.
Basic computer proficiency and comfort using workplace applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first approach.
