Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience of large-scale construction management experience, with at least 8 years specifically as a construction manager in data center construcion with equivalent project budget (500M USD or above)
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are crucial, as is a thorough understanding of data center infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
Activities might include
- Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities (on‑site and off‑site), ensuring full compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and ESG policies.
- Manage general contractors, specialist subcontractors (MEP, structural, envelope, electrical systems), and design consultants.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, QA/QC plans, and commissioning scripts.
- Develop and execute construction strategies, master schedules, logistics plans, and cost baselines tailored to mission‑critical environments
- Lead risk assessments, integrate safety by design, and ensure all construction phases meet global EHS guidelines.
