To excel in this position, candidates should possess
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in material handling and powered equipment operation preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory control systems, storage locator systems, and basic math calculations.
- Demonstrated skill and safety in operating material handling equipment (Order Picker, Swing Reach, Forklift, Hand Trucks, Pallet Trucks, Clamp Truck). Must be able to obtain a Material Handling License.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and good judgment in working with all levels of personnel.
- Physical capability to continuously stand, sit, stretch, reach, stoop, bend, and work at varying heights.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally with mechanical assistance or team support (up to 2000 lbs. using appropriate equipment).
- Safety-conscious mindset with alertness to potential hazards.
