Educational/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; however, candidates without a diploma or equivalent may substitute one additional year of verified security experience.
- At least one (1) year of Health care Safety and Security experience preferred.
- Must pass a criminal records background check prior to employment.
- Possess strong verbal, interpersonal communications skills and excellent customer service.
- Successfully complete Conflict Management training and demonstrate the ability to non-escalate, de-escalate and ensure safe physical stabilization tactics within six (6) months.

- IAHSS Basic Officer Certification preferred, required for any promotion.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Maryland driver’s license or valid license from the state in which the employee resides with no more than two (2) Points on current driving record.
