- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, fixtures, and appliances
- Perform rough-in, trim-out, and final plumbing work for residential and light commercial projects
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, water heater failures, sewer line problems, and fixture replacements
- Conduct system testing to ensure proper performance and compliance with local plumbing codes
- Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe systems using hand and power tools
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and workflow to keep projects moving on schedule
- Provide mentorship and direction to tradesman plumbers and apprentices on-site
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Ensure all work complies with Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) regulations and local municipal codes
- Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures
- Use PPE and maintain safe work practices in confined spaces, trenches, and active construction environments
- Communicate professionally with customers, builders, supervisors, and team members
- Explain plumbing issues, solutions, and repair recommendations clearly
- Represent the company with strong customer service and integrity
- Complete documentation for service work, inspections, and job reports
- Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and perform physical labor
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities
- 3+ years of residential and/or commercial plumbing experience
- Experience with Central Texas plumbing conditions (slab foundations, hard water, sewer laterals)
- Backflow certification or additional specialty credentials a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Indoor and outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions
- Residential homes, commercial properties, and new construction sites
- Schedule may include early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends
- $28 – $36/hour depending on experience
- Specialized or highly experienced Journeymen may earn $31+/hour
- $54,000 – $78,000/year
- Senior-level or specialty plumbers: $65,000 – $95,000+
