Waste Processing Team Lead

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance and up to 75 pounds unassisted on occasion. Ability to push and pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack, hand truck, or other device to assist. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments. Visual acuity to read labels and documentation and sufficient depth perception to safely operate forklifts. Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes, alarms, and other audible safety signals. Ability and willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. Ability to work overtime hours as needed based on business needs. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required based on business needs.

Education o High school diploma or GED Required o Associate’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science-related field (preferred)

Experience o Must be 18 years of age or older in accordance with federal and state labor laws o 2+ years of experience working with hazardous waste (preferred) o Completion of 40 hours OSHA training with 8-hour refresher course (preferred)

Skills o May be required to pass a DEA background check based on site o Forklift certified with possession of safe driving record (preferred) o Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA, and state waste regulations o Ability to operate manual equipment such as a pallet jack to load and unload trucks o Ability to use a computer for web-based training and inventory tracking purposes o Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English o Ability to deal politely with customers and team members o Ability to oversee large projects and lead a team
