Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as a maintenance technician, welding technician, tool technician, die maintenance technician
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics
- Experience using various machines and tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Proven experience as a Die Setter or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with stamping presses or other die-based/ production systems
- Ability to read, understand and complete and setup sheets
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience overhead crane
- Understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part
- Ability to prepare and run complex bend setups and roll forming operations
