Key Responsibilities

- Integrate automated and digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate manufacturability and ensure alignment between engineering intent and production capability.
- Utilize ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to manage process documentation and support real-time operations visibility.
- Mentor technicians and junior engineers in best practices for manufacturing engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Weld Engineering.
- experience in weld engineering and manufacturing engineering, preferably in modular fabrication, defense, energy, or industrial equipment sectors.
- AWS CWI certification that is active. NDE experience a plus
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and GD&T.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in process development, design for manufacturability, and production scaling.
- Hands-on experience with containerization, modular product platforms, and structural weldments.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems and compliance standards.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in containerized HVAC, power distribution, or control system enclosures.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, and industrial coatings.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related process improvement disciplines.
- Experience with CFD/FEA simulation tools.
- This is a full-time onsite position based in Phoenix, AZ.
- Work takes place in both offices and fabrication of floor environments.
- May require up to 5 % travel to customer sites or GTI facilities.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs and walk fabrication areas.
