What you’ll do

Giga Energy is seeking a Director, M&A and Corp Dev to lead the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of powered land and energy infrastructure transactions that fuel our data center and Bitcoin platform.

This is a senior, client-facing deal leadership role for someone who has already led meaningful transactions and is ready to own a strategy. You will originate opportunities, lead cross-functional diligence, structure transactions, and present directly to our investment committee. We are looking for someone commercially sharp, highly analytical, and relentless in getting deals closed.

Investment Committee

  • Lead powered land and energy infrastructure acquisition efforts across priority markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with utilities, landowners, brokers, developers, and capital partners.
  • Develop a repeatable pipeline aligned with Giga’s growth targets.
  • Own transactions from LOI through closing.
  • Lead internal deal teams across development, engineering, finance, and legal.
  • Negotiate land purchase agreements, energy contracts, and related commercial documents.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models evaluating land basis, power pricing, infrastructure capex, and return profiles.
  • Conduct sensitivity and downside analyses.
  • Prepare clear, compelling investment memoranda.
  • Oversee diligence across utility interconnection, zoning, environmental, title, and infrastructure feasibility.
  • Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Present opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Defend assumptions and articulate risk-adjusted return profiles.
  • Push transactions through approval and close.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in energy, infrastructure, real estate private equity, development, or related transactional roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or heavily driving acquisitions through close.
  • Strong financial modeling and underwriting capabilities.
  • Polished, executive-level communication skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements.
  • High ownership mentality and strong execution discipline.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco or Houston offices. You must be willing to work in the office full-time, outside of our bi-weekly WFH Fridays. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year.
