Responsibilities and Qualifications
- CNC Machine Operation — Set up and operate CNC laser cutters and press brakes to cut and form steel, aluminum, and stainless sheet metal to exact specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation — Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, fabrication drawings, and flat patterns to determine machine setup, bend sequences, and part requirements.
- Quality Assurance — Inspect parts throughout production using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other precision tools to maintain tight tolerances.
- Material Handling & Maintenance — Safely load and unload heavy sheet metal, perform basic daily machine maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Experience 5–10 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC press brakes and/or laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of bend allowances, bend deductions, and precision measuring tools.
- Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 10-hour shifts, and perform repetitive physical tasks safely.
