Ensuring work performed at the terminal is performed in compliance with OSHA and other government regulations, company policies, and procedures
Working with the Director of Operations and Traffic Manager to schedule the safe and efficient handling of customer cargoes
Actively engaging with the associates daily through visual, onsite management.
Overseeing all facility associates and ensuring all work in the facility is being performed in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner
Participating in the training, development, and technical education of new associates
Managing financial performance including P/L, capital expenditures, and third-party contractors
Overseeing, maintaining, and adjusting facility budget as necessary on a monthly basis
Assigning work tasks as necessary based on company needs
Coordinating barge, rail, and truck flow with the traffic department and customer service
Coordinating maintenance requirements with the maintenance team and working to perform preventive maintenance during terminal downtime or slow periods
Communicating with the traffic department on barge, rail, and truck issues
Developing, maintaining, and providing operational feedback on both internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) across all modes of operation
Assisting the Director of Operations with conducting quarterly and annual facility audits.
