Maintenance Mechanic A

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to: •Ability to make inspections when requested to check the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns and major overhauls on facility machines and equipment. •Performs such typical maintenance mechanic work operations as repairing, mechanical servicing, assembling, dismantling, and installing machines and equipment. •Sets up and operates machines such as tools as drill presses, power saws and pedestal grinders. •Makes operational check of machines worked on after repair, maintenance and installation work. •May be required to do bench work in the making of special shop equipment to be used on facility machines. •Performs rework, repair and other associated operations about the work described. •Follow all Senior policies and procedure. •Other duties as assigned.
