Maintenance Technician

 High School Diploma/GED

 Minimum 10 years in the trade

 Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code

 Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Mandatory hearing protection while in the production area of the plant

 Work is performed in all areas of the plant, exposing worker to all

departments Working Conditions

 Full-face protection is required when welding

 Will experience temperature extremes, depending on what work is being

performed and whether work is performed outside or inside

 Chemical exposure is high because, even though they may not necessarily be

working with chemicals, they are around them constantly

 Exposure to several varieties of electrical and mechanical hazards throughout

the plant, depending on the task at hand

 Work with a variety of items, including wood, metal and plastic

 Extreme dust conditions exist when working in the Bailer Room

 Lifting a minimum of 25 lbs.

 Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes: safety

glasses/goggles, protective gloves for metal work, cold weather and chemical

exposure; respirator protection and fall protection

 Standing approximately 80% +/- of the workday

 Working with a variety of energy sources such as electrical, mechanical,

hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical and thermal

 Vocation/technical certification

 Prior experience of five years in printing press equipment and/or book

binding equipment
