Key Responsibilities:
- Install and Maintain Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5/Cat6, fiber, coax).
- Cabinet & Conduit Work Perform conduit installation, cable dressing, and termination inside IDF/MDF cabinets.
- Device Setup Install and configure CCTV and network devices.
- Project Leadership Lead small teams on multi-week projects to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious delivery.
- Blueprints Read and interpret blueprints and site maps.
- Aerial Work Operate BOOM and/or scissor lifts to work at heights up to 40+ feet.
- Testing & Compliance Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Communication Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Experience 2–5 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage systems, structured cabling, networking, and CCTV.
- Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of fiber optic termination, network infrastructure, and Point-of-Sale (POS) deployment/troubleshooting.
- Licensing Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years).
- Transportation Reliable personal transportation.
- Tools Must possess basic telecom tools and standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Leadership Comfortable working independently and leading small teams.
- Travel Flexibility Willingness to travel extensively (4–6 weeks at a time) and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Nice to Have
- Industry certifications: BICSI, OSHA, MSHA, AVIXA CTS, Panduit, Belden, or Corning.
- Hands-on experience with fusion splicing.
- Experience running DSX cable certification testing.
